For Coffee Lovers

History of coffee
The history of coffee can be traced to at least as early as the 9th century, when it appeared in the highlands of Ethiopia, from which it spread to Egypt and Yemen,[8] and by the fifteenth century had reached Persia, Egypt, Turkey, and northern Africa.

From the Muslim world, coffee spread to Europe, and became popular there during the seventeenth century. The Dutch were the first to import it large-scale into Europe, and eventually smuggled in some seedlings in 1690, defying the Arab prohibition on exporting the plants or unroasted seeds. The Dutch later grew the crop in their colony of Java.[9] In 1538, Leonhard Rauwolf, a German physician, after returning from a ten-year trip to the Near East, gave this description of coffee:[10][citation needed]

A beverage as black as ink, useful against numerous illnesses, particularly those of the stomach. Its consumers take it in the morning, quite frankly, in a porcelain cup that is passed around and from which each one drinks a cupful. It is composed of water and the fruit from a bush called bunnu.

When coffee reached the American colonies, it was initially not as successful as it had been in Europe, as colonists found it a poor substitute for alcohol. However, during the Revolutionary War, the demand for coffee increased so much that dealers had to hoard their scarce supplies and raise prices dramatically; this was partly owing to the reduced availability of tea from British merchants. After the War of 1812, in which Britain had temporarily cut off access to tea imports, the Americans' taste for coffee grew during the early nineteenth century , and high demand during the American Civil War together with the advancements of brewing technology secured the position of coffee as an everyday commodity in the United States. Today coffee is a common beverage of the North American breakfast and morning commute.

Taste is not inherited, it is acquired!!!

I tasted alcohol, it was bitter
I sipped slowly and steadily to experience the taste
Over a period of time I got used to it
I liked the taste,
I liked the feeling,
I got addicted,
It took me to a high
I knew not what I spoke
I knew not what I did
insanity ruled over sanity
I became egoistic
Each time I got drunk,
I disturbed the people around me,
After a period of time realization dawned
I self introspected
I knew not how I lost my integrity,
Prejudice, jealousy, were the traits that I developed, when ever I got drunk.
There was something that was missing in my life
It was nothing but peace!!!

I did not know what I drank

The name of the alcohol was success!!!

Time passed by and the climate changed, that was when I met you!!!

Walked through the woods so thorny and bushy
Ran down in the forest escaping the nature's fury
Taking shelter under the trees and the caves
saving my life from the landslides, I ran

Walked through the woods so thorny and creepy
Ran down in the forest escaping nature's fury
Groping in the dark
with no clutch to hold on to.
When I looked into the sky it was dark and cloudy
Fear crept in so great and lofty
lashing rains burnt my skin
the famine and floods made me weak and thin
scared of death I ran

knew not where I was heading
my heart filled with hope
like I held on to a rope
I ran, in search of light
time passed by, the climate changed
the cold winds froze me
but not my hope
I ran,escaping the nature's fury
The cold breeze cut through my skin
made me hard and arrogant
heart still filled with hope
I ran, in search of light
Time passed by the climate changed
Spring began
the flowers blossomed
the trees looked rich and green
my skin felt a breeze, so soft and soothing
fragrance of flowers wafting in the air
the herbs dancing to the gentle breeze
chirping of the birds so mellifluous
my heart felt great and relieved
confidence grew
the world was so different
the pasture looked greener
my heart felt great and relieved
I wondered why I felt the differences in the climate
I realized that the world looked great and magnificent just because of you

my sweet heart.....

louisville -will to live....

Fun completely depends on the kind of people you are with and not on how great the place is.I am glad that I am part of a wonderful group of people, who are the best when it comes to fun and the most serious when it comes to their duty. They are a few people who have great composure, always on high spirits and who are highly enthusiastic.
Planned a trip to Louisville on a bright and sunny sunday. It was a lot of fun.The best part was the excitement of going to a temple in the United states.I was elated to see a God with different names under the same roof.
The fun actually started after that.Went to a Desi restaurant to hog.We targeted one person for kalai, she is a sweet jeevan...paaavam....
travelled a little while to a place called Ohio river water fall.We had 2 hours of adventure, climbing a trunk which was very slippery. One wrong foot would have hung our lives in limbo.Jeopardizing our lives was kind of fun.....
We drove back home after having a cup of coffee....highly exhausted, with our thoughts back into the work thats due the next day and plans for the next week....
Hope we have the same excitement and ethu all our lives.....
